Chef Lorenzo 

Chef Lorenzo began his culinary career while majoring in business at Youngstown State University. As an act of desperation to survive college food, he honed the cooking skills learned from his mother and became the first cook for that Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

 

Never losing his passion or talent for gourmet food and after many years as a successful sales representative, he returned to school and graduated from Loretta Pagganini's School of Culinary Arts.

 

He created the healthy cooking educational classes for Lakeside's Health & Wellness Conferences and in 2001 he opened Lorenzo's Culinary School in 2001. He continues to teach gourmet cooking classes at the school delighting people of all ages who really enjoy good food and want to be able to cook it at home.

 

As a personal chef, he has since cooked his way around the world from Salt Lake City to New Zealand, Tuscany to Beaver Creek, Colorado, and many places in between. He was selected as and served as the personal chef for the Rolls Royce Corporation for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Since 2002, he has served the airline industry by chefing at their special events in Beaver Creek, Colorado.   Off season, you will find him travelling internationally to practice his culinary skills and impress everyone with his gastronomical dishes.

 

Some of his personal favorite cuisines are Italian and seafood, but he enjoys serving up a variety of ethnic edible delights learned from his internationals travels and studies.

 

Lorenzo has been featured on Food Network and has also been a favorite celebrity chef in such places as Channel 8 FOX Cleveland morning show as well as the Lake Erie Islands local celebrity chef. 



Carolyn Pytlik 

Carolyn Pytlik, M.Ed., CRNA, RN is the Director and Wellness Specialist. She created and developed the Health and Wellness Program for Lakeside Association in 1999 and has been creating and instructing wellness and healthy cooking classes since then. With the increasing request for more healthy cooking classes she is continually using her impressive healthcare and culinary education and experience to bring new and exciting healthy cooking classes to Lakeside.


Chef Denise Whitesel

Chef Denise is back for another season at Lakeside. A resident of Oberlin, Ohio, and a life-long Lakesider,  Denise is excited to share her love for cooking with her friends in Lakeside. Chef Stacy Maple

Stacy’s love for all things culinary began in her mother’s cake shop when she was barely tall enough to see over the counter where her mother spent her days, baking and decorating cakes. 


That love for the culinary arts lead her to the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and then on to the French Culinary Institute in New York City to study Food Styling.  This exemplary training along with 25 years of culinary and hospitality experience has given her hands-on, working knowledge of every phase of the industry from the front of the house to the back. 


Chef Stacy's entrepreneurial ventures range from owning and operating a bed and breakfast to a coffee house, a slow food cafe and to her current culinary service, Chef Stacy Maple LLC.  Chef Stacy Maple LLC is a multidimensional culinary service offering Recipe Development and Testing, Cooking Demonstrations and Classes, Food Styling, Food Writing, and Chef-for-hire services for both private and corporate work.  In addition, Chef Stacy is the Corporate Chef and Chief Culinary Consultant for Kappus Company, a restaurant and food service equipment company located in Cleveland, Ohio.  

 

Chef Stacy is a proud member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), SlowFood USA, Business and Professional Women of Ohio (BPW), Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) and the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.


Chef Stacy has been a guest on WPCR and WPIB online radio.


Chef Audra Enz

Chef Audra Enz holds an AS in Culinary Arts, Wellness and Sustainability and a Bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales University (Providence, RI).  Recently, Audra helped teach culinary nutrition classes as part of an after school program and worked at 90 Acres Culinary Institute in conjunction with Viking Range Cooking.  She has also interned at one of Heifer International’s Global Village sites where she promoted diversity through world cuisine.  Audra is looking forward to teaching others and sharing her passion for food and wellness in Lakeside, Ohio this summer.   Audra has a special interest and expertise in sustainable farming and will be teaching those techniques in growing as well as preparing healthier produce.
